Sophire Nelson, LCSW

Sophire Nelson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, emotional blockages, trauma, and negative self-image. She enjoys working with clients who are dedicated to living more mindful, empowered, and fulfilling lives.

A North Carolina native, Sophire takes a holistic approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based practices such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, breath-work, somatic experiencing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotional Freedom Technique (also known as Tapping). She is also certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol, a listening-based intervention designed to help regulate the nervous system and reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress.

Sophire creates a warm, supportive space where clients can explore the root causes of their symptoms and reconnect with their inner strength. She believes that healing involves both insight and action, and she equips clients with practical tools—such as CBT, meditation, and relaxation strategies—to support emotional balance and everyday well-being. Sophire values psychoeducation as a core part of the therapeutic process. She helps clients understand how their brain and body respond to stress and trauma, believing that this knowledge fosters a deeper sense of control, safety, and self-compassion.

Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they shift from a place of chaos to one of clarity and peace—releasing what no longer serves them and stepping fully into their potential.
