  • All assessments at TLC Counseling Services are conducted virtually through a secure HIPAA-compliant platform, unless otherwise required by a court or agency.

  • Retainers must be paid before services begin, but extended services (e.g., ongoing record review or testimony) can be billed hourly as completed.

  • Yes.
    With signed releases, we can:

    • Collaborate with attorneys

    • Clarify assessment needs

    • Provide expected timelines

    • Deliver reports directly to legal counsel

  • You can schedule an assessment by contacting our office, or your attorney can submit a referral.
    We will send:

    1. Intake forms

    2. Service agreements

    3. Invoice for retainer

    4. Record submission instructions

    Your evaluation is scheduled once documentation and payment are complete.

  • No. TLC Counseling Services does not provide full psychological custody evaluations.
    However, we do offer:

    • Reunification readiness assessments

    • Trauma impact assessments

    • Co-parenting and family functioning evaluations

    • Mental health assessments for court involvement
      These services do not include psychological testing.

  • Yes—your written report can be submitted to the court, and we are available for testimony if requested.
    Court testimony requires an additional fee and advance scheduling.

  • No.
    Forensic assessments are always private pay, as insurance does not cover services conducted for legal purposes.
